Dear allA new single mumps vaccine cultured on canine kidney cells has been slipped into private clinics through the back door.The vaccine is extremely similar to Pavivac, a single mumps vaccine that was rejected by the CSM because of the unknown infections that it may cause.. In fact I would go as far as to say that it may well be Pavivac with a brand new identity (ring any bells?).The problem is it may well have extremely nasty adverse reactions if given to children who are allergic to dogs.
