Authors' conclusionsThe

design and reporting of safety outcomes in MMR vaccine studies, both pre-

and post-marketing, are largely inadequate. The evidence of adverse

events following immunisation with the MMR vaccine cannot be separated

from its role in preventing the target diseases.
