Absolutely not! I know it's scary, but that's not what the shot was intended

for... Hugs momma. It's scary when it happens.

I'd given Arnica.....some of the other ladies May have better advice.

Dog bite - tetatnus shot?

Hello everyone.

My 5-year-old child was bitten in her leg by a dog today. It is a small wound,

however, the dog punctured her leg and it was bleeding. The dog is reportedly

up to date with all its vaccines. We cleaned the wound with soap and water. It

is bruised and swollen. My friend called her doctor who advised her to bring my

daughter for a tetanus shot since she has not been vaccinated. I really don't

want to do that. Is there anything else I should do? I am concerned about the

wound but she is also very upset emotionally.

aconite works when emotional trauma such as she has described

there used to be Tetanus toxoid - only tetanus - approved for over 6 yo

but now they rarely have it but just give DTap

At an urgent care place a few months ago, they wanted to give my son a tetanus shot because he got something in his eye when the kids on the playground were throwing wood chips....
