Guest guest
Hello everyone. My 5-year-old child was bitten in her leg by a dog today. It is a small wound, however, the dog punctured her leg and it was bleeding. The dog is reportedly up to date with all its vaccines. We cleaned the wound with soap and water. It is bruised and swollen. My friend called her doctor who advised her to bring my daughter for a tetanus shot since she has not been vaccinated. I really don't want to do that. Is there anything else I should do? I am concerned about the wound but she is also very upset emotionally. Thank you for your responses.
