Guest guest
I would frequently coat the scar in pure aloe vera gel from a fresh cut leaf. Also, Lavender Essential Oil where the weaping is. If she has to change her bandage, I would put some drops of the Lavender Essential Oil on the bandage where it will be touching the wounds. That will heal the skin quicker. To heal the underneath stuff, in addition to the homeopathy, I would take additional Vit.C, a few extra grams, b/c Vit.C helps in the healing of ligaments and bones, along with Vit.D. Can she go out in the sun with a lot of skin exposed (but not the wound), no sunscreen!, for about 30 minutes a day? That will increase her Vit.D for healing. Poor sis. Hope you both feel better soon! - Arlynn
Guest guest
Wow--I would think it should be better than that after 4 weeks. I would start with Arnica, to bring down the swelling. That will help it feel better right away, and speed the healing. Then after the swelling was down, I would give Hypericum or Hep-S. Here is what Castro's homeopathy book says under Hep-S for injuries: for cuts/wounds, with inflammation, slow to heal, painful. Pains are sore and splinter-like. This is for cuts and injuries where the skin has been broken and healing is taking longer than expected. There is some redness/inflammation around the site of the injury and it is generally sensitive to touch. Under Hypericum, it says Cuts/wounds to nerve-rich parts: crushed, punctured, lacerated, slow to heal. Pains are shooting. Wound is inflamed and very painful. In fact, the pain is often worse than it looks, because the nerves are injured. If the pains are severe and shoot up the body, then Hypericum is a good remedy. If you need help with how to dose, let me know if you have access to these remedies, and what the potency is, and I can give you directions. Amy My sisters foot My sister ripped the top of her foot open to the bone and through ligaments, she was rock climbing. Top part of the foot. She has had conventional treatment antis - tetanus etc. The foot four weeks on there is a bad scar, a little weepy, very bruised, swollen ankle, stiff tendons. She has not tried homeopathy, but she wants to as it is taking along time to heal, she is only with me 3 days, any suggestions. " Would Hypericum work on old lacerations? Several years ago Ari cut her foot open or sliced it on the ice, we're not sure, we couldn't find anything she could have cut it open on; or her upper pad stuck to the ice and tore?? Regardless, it was slice deep on her hind foot about an inch above the highest part of her pad, she has favored it ever since, especially in the cold. Not so much in summer, but if I over run her she'll start to favor it. She also injured the knee on the same leg, she turned in deep snow and her leg didn't, her knee cap was out of place, I rubbed it back in and have had her on glucosamine, chondroitin, msm ever since and the knee now doesn't seem to bother her, I think it's the old cut. Guest guest
I agree with Amy on the Arnica, then Hypericum. But I wonder why it's still swollen--and weepy, too? That doesn't sound good! It almost sounds as if something is continuing to irritate the area, more than a slow healing process. Could she have broken anything? Guest guest
I would think you could try. Do you know how to prepare remedies? If you need directions, let me know. I would put it in a syringe and squirt into her mouth. Amy
