Guest guest
I have just joined and am thrilled to find such a large group of you on-line as well as knowing this site is into finding out about research trends, etc. I was in another group some years ago and it did not work out for me. I am a person who thinks in the " future " and also one who thinks creatively. A bit about me, yes, I have CMT; diagnosed 1968 when I was 5. Had some foot surgery as a young teen that has made a world of difference in walking. I work for Direct Relief International and my job sometimes takes me to under developed countries. I often spend most of my time at medical clinics/sites/areas and have seen some of the horrible effects of war as well as the effects of poverty. But it is always the children who are so joyous no matter what, whether missing a leg or walking with crutches. I have worked for DRI for years and even still, I am touched by love from strangers. I'm a nurse by academic training, but when I am on assignment, I know I am just part of the plan to bring needed services. Because of my speciality areas of study and language training, I am thinking of doing a 2 year sabbatical to spend in the Peace Corp. My CMT is holding its own and I feel I could manage. Is there anyone else who has spent time in the PC? Senga
