Guest guest
I have heard that if you can buy an ozone machine and put that in your car, run it for hours and hours, it kills everything. Guest guest
We removed all clutter so that we could spray all surfaces constantly. Make sure if you have air vents that those do not contain mold. We had not cleaned out our furnace filter ever since we had been in the house (real stupid move) and the amount of mold in that thing was most likely creating the best breeding ground for an infection, mites, collembola you could imagine. Guest guest
I agree with A - you may have a combination of infections going on. It seems that for many it starts with the crazy bites, creepy crawlies, itching, etc. - and then whatever the mite or bug leaves behind causes long term problems. I don't think we have the mites anymore but I've got all the underlying issues I am trying to deal with. I recently went back to Rifampin and Doxy - herxed something terrible for a week - all sorts of stuff pushing out of my skin. Things have calmed down - but now of course I have the yeast beast to contend with. I am going to try my best to stay the course with my medications this time. I think slow and steady wins the race but it is so hard to be patient. Guest guest
Sounds like you are progressing the right direction Marilyn. I had birdmites and other critters initially. The birdmites attracted again last spring as new nests arrived, but the main stay from the get go has been the feather winged beetle. It is so tiny, that if you happen to see a tiny, tiny, dark sliver, you have found an old, large, adult. They have two teeth on their stomachs so they can mine for fungus by cuting your skin, they may lay eggs there as they leave fungus behind in the wound, they can cut and crawl up under your dkin, go in any entry point in your body, and live off of you. A little spider that looks like a small chip of dirt loves the beetle for dinner and will join the party on the body.I've seen eggs layed in two manners. One is in a clear, gel like biofilm where it looks like fish eggs in a blob, and also stuck in the mycileum of the fungus.. These last look like cristaline cigars under the microscope. You won't be able to tell there is a bug in it unless it has started to hatch and an obvious body part is emerging. Their tiny legs come out first so those cigars are crawling all over the body. But I believe we all concluded that the bugs/mites we pick up are environmentally specific. Guess it depends on what part of the country/world you live in and what's in season. Bottom line is the blood infection calling them be it bacterial, fungal, viral, or all of the above. I threw away my microscope because the time it took to capture and look at them was useless. My meds. and protocal were working. I knew it didn't matter what was coming at me at that point. Love and light, i>Have you tried dusting the floor with dry arm and hammer detergent? Guest guest
i live in an apartment and cant let them soak, i could boil them first >Have you tried dusting the floor with dry arm and hammer detergent? This was the first thing that worked for me. I left it work itself in for a couple days -major relief, and it gave me a break from constant vacuuming. The carpet wasn't a problem for me after that. Guest guest
I always feared the same thing. Another thing that worked for me was Bifen. You can buy it online at doyourownpestcontrol.com. It's concentrated and lasts for years. Spray on base boards, behind appliances, around plumbing etc. It kills bugs/mites. I had to do that for the critters and the Lysol for the fungus/mold although Lysol kills its share of bugs, too. Leave the house for 2 hours after spraying. Spray 1 time a month. Guest guest
I agree, my best doctors have told me it's irrelevant what's coming out. Lyme bacteria in the body long term sets up the system for all kinds of infections. Without underlying Borrelia(Lyme) these infestations don't take hold. Even the tick coinfections are much more treatable when Borrelia is not present. Bartonella is very common and usually successfully treated when Borrelia is not present. Guest guest
I know a lot of people use toxic cleaning supplies, I used only enzyme cleaners all plant based. I didn't want to add to my overly toxic body. It did take me a year but I have no mold or insects now for 13 months, and I've been on multiple cocktails of antibiotics for 2 years. For chronic Lyme it's 3-5 yrs of treatment, I'm about to complete year 2.On Sep 25, 2011, at 8:35 AM, Benton <sarahbenton48@...> wrote: I always feared the same thing. Guest guest
I don't know how you have done it. I'm on day 3 of herxing and feel so sick. Headache, severe insomnia, woke up at 3 am again, couldn't get back to sleep, body aches and pains, neck hurts, everything hurts. I know sbmom is on the same drugs and was feeling some better after week one. I am wondering if you or anyone knows if Bart can be transmitted to another person (my husband). He has Lyme, has treated for it, but he does not have the symptoms I have had... he has no symptoms of either Lyme or Bart. Since I am treating with abx I am wondering if he should too. How did you learn of this coexistence ..( I always assumed bugs bring more bugs & worms & fungus but I bever had any proof , did you find any links that support this truth , I would love to read & study them ...meanwhile I kill all of them with heat , soap , enzymes & sodium carbonate in the Arm & Hammer POWDERED ( not liquid it contains no sodium carbonate ) Laundry Detergent . Dry them out with baking soda on everything , poison them with borax 1 cup per gallon & sprinkled dry . & glaze them into a salt crust with epsom salts ( epsom salts also deters bugs & animals ) God bless you , Bill On Sun Sep 25th, 2011 9:31 AM EDT Benton wrote: >Boiling never worked well for me. Still had the problems and the time, mess, and electric bill made it a nightmare. Soak them in the tub before you go to bed, then wash. >Love and light, > > > >Have you tried dusting the floor with dry arm and hammer detergent? Guest guest
Hi , I found a good (and really cheap) microscope on DealExtreme, I'll bring it into work tomorrow and try it on a Mac to find out if it's compatible. Being able to see these things with my own eyes really helped me - psycologically since it refutes any argument that it's all in your head, and physically since I could try different strategies and then look at my skin to see whether it was getting rid of them. The microscope I have only goes up to 200x, which allows me to see my mites as tiny black dots. Not enough to identify them, but enough to figure out their favorite locations on my skin. I just noticed that they have a newer model that claims up to 800x for $41. I'm considering getting this one since it might allow me to get a detailed enough image to use for identification. It so bad at work, i come home at lunch and iron my shirt, to kill the sparkly things, seems like a waste of time cuz they get back on me. I get confused about these bugs, theres the dead blk specks and then the aparkley ones and the little brown specks that get on my shirt at work, i wish i knew what the heck it was >Have you tried dusting the floor with dry arm and hammer detergent? This was the first thing that worked for me. I left it work itself in for a couple days -major relief, and it gave me a break from constant vacuuming. The carpet wasn't a problem for me after that. I was surprised that the tile areas of the house also seemed to be a problem. For that the combination of diluted bleach followed by dusting with dry baking soda cleared things up. I later vacuumed up the baking soda. I never identified the bug or bugs that were biting me, but those things worked to make my home environment affect me less. >I ended up finding out that I was attracting various infections and parasites to my skin due to internal toxic overload.
