Guest guest
Hi Libby, I adore your comment, "Doesn't matter the shape of your shell" What a beautiful concept that we can learn to love those we may never see, never caring what they look like physically. Many years ago when I started going out to work with children in need I would put on fund raisers and when a child would bring a gift for a child who had less materially, I would tell them " it is the most wonderful thing in the world when you give a gift to someone you love, it is even more special when the person you love and are giving the gift to is someone you may never meet." That is the real beauty of our groups here, I feel deeply for all of you, and each day it seems that a new wonderful person comes out of "lurking" and turns out to be one of "ours", one of the ones we take to our hearts and become strangers no more. I am so enchanted to see the way you all reach out to one another, and I am so grateful that one of the ones you reach out to is me. I am thrilled about your skin. I can tell you from personal experience, it is really wonderful what all that oxygen does for your skin. Please do me a favor and tell your patient that I send him a hug and kiss. Tell him he has impressed me with his determination. From: "Libby Bova" <thpeaky@...> Dear All, I have been reading slowly through the old messages so that Iunderstand some of the stories of those of you who have been with thegroup much longer. What a nice supportive bunch you are! You are ALLso beautiful and helpful...doesn't matter the shape of your shell!BUT as we breathe we are getting healthier and that is what I am SOimpressed with this program. I have been going at this about 3 weeksnow. I have VERY dry skin and thought I had a lot of wrinkles for myage and lo and behold I have noticed much better skin texture and thebreathing is the only thing I have changed at this point.I also want to share I am combining the breathing with a throatexercise for a patient who has not been able to swallow except forice chips (not even his own saliva) for about 8 years. Today he wasable to clear (ie, swallow) a bit of his saliva. He had a stroke atthe level of the brainstem...everything else came back and he hasn'thad any more. Whatever problems :health or emotional NEVER NEVERNEVER give up!You know...I used to joke with my speech patients who had voiceproblems..."don't forget to breathe"...I have to laugh now that I doLL!....Love to all!!!
