Guest guest
Cathleen, My advice to you is to keep walking as long as you can. A distance of 2 miles may be unrealistic, but if you can even walk around the block, do it. My illness has progressed to the point that I can barely walk at all even when wearing my AFO's and using my cane. I used to walk 4 miles a day. Then over the next few years as my illness progressed, my husband and I walked nearly every night as my ability allowed. Walking is one of the best exercises you can do for overall health, and I think just being outside is good for your spirit. Consider yourself fortunate that you still can walk, even if it is in moderation. I hope and pray everyday that I'll be able to walk again. I can't tell you how much I miss it! K.
