Welcome positings on women empowerment such as the one from Joy Abraham.

It is imperative that Community awareness, Behaviour change and Health

motivation related empowerment tools take an action focused approach to ensure

sustainable development of projects in and around complexities related to

HIV/AIDS, Human Rights and Economic equations at all levels. These processes

during planning phase should consider the belief systems and acceptability norms

along with stigma factors and whole community participation.

I have tried to summarize some of the resources in this field although

this list is by no means complete.

One of the constructive things could also be to look at some work done

in Africa in this regards which entails a full process with measurable

impact. They might be little different in approach but can surely give

us some valuable dos and donts.
