Guest guest
Lorna, Does your campus have a Physical Therapy dept? If so, I might suggest to check in with them for some ideas on starting exercises. If no PT dept., perhaps asking the gym manager for some ideas - explaining of course that you have CMT (meaning muscles have to work twice as hard to do half the work). Since I don't know all that is offered at your gym, perhaps you can talk over the benefits of yoga, pilates, or others. If the campus has a pool, inquire about its use - perhaps the swim team/staff can help you get started. But I would really suggest getting connected with PTs first. I have found PTs so much more knowledgable about which muscle groups to work and which not to. ~ G
