Guest guest
Hi Sam, I had the Roux-en-y gastric bypass where the top of the stomach is stapled to seal it off from the rest of the stomach and the small bowel is cut and reattached to this small pouch through a small hole (stoma) the surgeon creates in the egg-sized upper part of the stomach. Some of the problems I mentioned aren't really complications but are difficulties everyone who has this surgery can expect to experience. I understand your feeling that this is your only hope. I felt that way too. Since the surgery was a failure for me and Sandie, we are now back to good old diet control and exercise. I think that we should e-mail each other directly if you want to continue to talk about this subject as this is rather off-topic for this group. If I can help you, I'd be happy to.
