Welcome to , . First off, here is the medication alert

list

http://www.cmtworld.org/html/cmtrx.php these medications/substances are

known to aggravate CMT symptoms. While there was a paper presented by

Dr. for MDA on CMT and the Statin medications, right now Dr.

Parry's list holds firm as we await more scientific reports on use of

the statin medications and CMT.

I lived in OKC for 3 years back in the 1980's. I had a very good private

doctor there, I just cannot remember his name right now. Let me think on

this and dig through my files. In the meantime, the Muscular Dystrophy

Association has doctors that are knowledgeable about CMT - even though

CMT is not a dystrophy - and the MDA does see CMT patients at their

clinics. You can find a clinic near you hopefully - go to the MDA

website and enter your zip code. Here's the MDA url

http://www.mdausa.org

Sometimes the " not knowing " about CMT and the sense of fear and worry

that goes with it is lightened and lifted once information is obtained

and accepted. Perhaps as you research and participate here, you will

lighten and relax a bit. Also perhaps once you target the inheritance

pattern of CMT in your family, you may feel a bit better. Your children

can all be tested by a very simple blood test.

Again, welcome to . Please don't hesitate to post or ask questions.

We're all here to learn.
