Guest guest
Dear Bonnie, I will be 59 in July so I count as over 48 and past menopause. I have tried several things over the last while to lose weight. For a while I was doing the carbohydrate addicts diet. I learned a lot about msg and food cravings doing this but it wasn't the answer for me. Lately I have been watching my intake of high carbs such as sugar and refined products and eating lean protein. I have been juicing some as Texas Mom advised. (BTW I forgot to mention Texas Mom's great advice and post earlier when I wrote about weight management. Thanks again for some great ideas.) Mainly I think the Victory Theory is beginning to soak in. I am having an easier time avoiding the high carbs! I have been trying to do more LL since the contest started. I do some stretches in the morning before breakfast such as : the stretch band and #2 video together, or the exercises from the original. I try to get in one set of 40 breaths at one time and another set of 40 throughout the day. Sometimes I only get in one of those. I have been doing the 5 rites for a week. I know you said you were too sore after doing them one day. Try doing only one of each and go up slowly. I am not saying I have my problems solved, but I am saying I am much more hopeful and some things are working for me. So glad you asked for our help Bonnie! You deserve the best. Patti Hi and help??? Ok guys. I was wondering if there was anyone on the list 48yrs. or older, past menopause, doing ONLY LifeLift for exercise, that does NOT food combine, or diet, has or had a big stomach, and is losing inches. If so, please would you e-mail me and let me know EXACTLY what you eat for breakfast, lunch ,dinner and in-between? And how often you LL. Appreciate it guys :-) {{{HUGS}}} & God bless, Bonnie **********************************************With God, ALL things are possible.********************************************** Please use our list bookstore In Association with Amazon.com If you are looking for anything, please click on this link first! Guest guest
Hi Patti, This is a wonderful and informative message. Your dedication is inspiring. You make me really want to keep these contests going. They seem to be such a great motivation for many of you. Bonnie, I started out having some real symptoms of menopause at around 50, but started right away on some natural herbs, along with the Oil of Evening Primrose, increased the dose for awhile and it really helped. I started taking bromelain and chromium picolonate too for the mood swings and swollen joints that I started feeling. All of these supplements are helpful in weight loss too. You should be able to get all of them very inexpensively in your drug or health food store. The main herb is Don Quai. Be sure you are all eating your meals every couple of hours to keep your metabolism burning full force. No skipping meals. If you have one or two meals a day you are going to cripple your metabolism and you will have a much more difficult time losing the weight. These are not keys you can ignore if you want lasting success with your weight loss. Keeping your body fueled is as important as anything you can do. Patti, I am just so happy the Victory Theory is helping you so much. You are using the tapes so they will "soak in" and the messages will become a part of how you think automatically. That is when you will really be living the life you really want and deserve to have. Take good care of yourself. You are sooooo wonderful! Guest guest
Thank you Patti. I really appreciate your response. I went through menopause early and thank God am past it! I knew that it was said it's harder to lose weight after menopause and so I wanted some input from others :-) I think my biggest problem is getting those 6 times eating like Rashelle and others have so highly recommended. It's a little hard to do at school and I have to admit, I tend to forget even when I'm home. Just will have to try harder :-) All prayers will be greatly appreciated! I think I probably need to eat less junkie stuff!!! Again, thank you sis for taking the time to respond. **********************************************With God, ALL things are possible.**********************************************
Guest guest
Bonnie, I'm only 34 but as far as the eating 6 times a day, why don't you get some protein bars and some fruit to munch on. These are things you don't have to cook or cut up. You can walk and go with these. My produce section also has these neat little carrot packs that have some baby carrots and some ranch dip together. I put one of those, a pear or bananna and a peeled and sectioned orange in my hubby's lunch everyday. He takes his lunch but it has to be " low fuss " . > Thank you Patti. Guest guest
Hey Bonnie, glad I could help. I just know that if I don't get my hubby to eat lunch, he'll come home starving and start snacking while I'm cooking dinner. However, he'll only eat lunch if it's something he can drive or walk around the office doing so it can't require a fork, a plate or any kind of preparation when he opens his lunch box. I tell him he's a lunch diva. > Thanks TexasMom!, > I'll keep these great suggestions in mind :-) Really appreciate your input! > God bless, Bonnie > ********************************************** > With God, ALL things are possible. > **********************************************

Guest guest
Hi Bonnie, sorry I'm so slow in responding to my E-Mails. I don't know if I can help you or not, but I can certainly sympathise with you. I am 50 soon to be 51 and am definitely going through menopause and having a hard time losing weight. Add to that a very low thyroid and you have double trouble. I was food combining for a while but this last month I have just decided to watch what I eat, try not to overeat, but at the same time if I want something I go ahead and eat it and not feel guilty. It's taking me a long time but with Lifelift (only) and a little golf, I am starting to slowly lose. It's helped me alot to not beat myself up after I've eaten something forbidden.(I've always done this in the past). I don't know if I will continue losing (slowly) or not but I feel alot better about myself for not dieting. This is the first time in my life that I have not dieted. As far as the stomach area I don't know too much. That is where I'm losing, unfortunately that is not where I need to lose. I carry all my weight below my hips UGH!!! Anyway I will pray for you sis and you can pray for me and together we will succeed! Love, Hi and help??? Ok guys.
