Guest guest
Hi and welcome: I read your post, and want to tell you of my case. All our cases are similar but also different, so what helps one does not fit all. I have had CMT for more than 70 yrs. I had surgery to straighten arches & hammer toes. My fingers are curled now and the symptoms continue to progress.I do not have a neurologist to treat my CMT. However, I have had in a way, a fortunate life, working in education for more than 40 yrs., now retired. Different to many, I have not been afflicted with pain (execet for corns etc : shoe fitting problems) so I can't speak about medication for that. I wear plastis AFOs that help my drop-foot, and turning ankles. I don't yet use a cane, but that is on the horizon. Other than that, there is not much help for me except for my inward fortitude. Wish I could be more helpful and wish you better times ahead. in the Land of Lincoln
