Guest guest
To Jim & Gretchen: I've been scanning this website for a number of months and have written occassionally. I'm a 64 year old male who has worked all his life. I suppose I have a milder case of CMT. I was diagnosed at 29. Since then I have learned to water ski, fly airplanes, build a house and continue in a job that was early on, physical and in later years a " desk job " I am also from the " left coast " I agree that a positive attitude is the most important thing a person can have. one women I worked with for 18 years also had CMT and we both had a positive attitude and continued to work through thoseyears. She & I met with a university professor who lacked that attitude and who could not understand us nor did he feel comfortable around us. He only seemed to want sympathy for his condition, which was no worse than our own. I still continue to work, althugh not for much longer as I am having a harder time walking and being on my feet. However, I will never give up and will continue to push to the limits of my ability, whatever that is. I think that is what keeps me going.
