They are from Foot-Smart. Some women's have foam soles. I need something that slides a bit when they touch down. I have drop foot that need to slide forward when I walk. Somne non-slips do not work well for me. They tend to cause me to forward fall. The ones I'm looking at are foam soles, Polo, women's slippers. $34.95 Another is : FoamTreadsĀ® Women's 'Tradition' Indoor/Outdoor Slippers $29.95 Yes, I'll wear women's shoes if they are comfortable & work OK. in the land of the Illini
Guest guest
You should try this brace found at this website http://www.coaches-choice.com/item112.htm When I wear it my drop foot improves so much that I can wear a larger selection of shoes. jenny
Guest guest
Try gluing smooth leather to the foam insoles or replace the insoles with Odor eaters that have a smoother layer. I used leather and Spenco insoles when I had the work shoes with metal braces as I cannot move my toes and have drop foot, this allow my toes to glide in without curling under when the socks would stick to the insoles. If the above is to slippery, try using powder or more silky socks. I did move to the plastic AFO's in June 2000, but I wore the other shoes for 17-18 years and went through a few sets of insoles. It may take a while for your feet to " mold " the insoles.

Do they last for a long time? How do they work? is there a mechanical part to it? I wear plastic braces that practically immobilize my ankles. Do you turn your ankles much with these? Lots of questions, in the land of the Illini

Thanks for the info. I wear AFOs outside, but I need an indoor shoe pr. in the land of the Illini
Guest guest
Hello All, I wear SAS shoes. The are expensive but they have padding all over and they are very light. They come in two flavors: a dress style shoes and a (sport style) tennis style shoes. I think the dressy shoe comes in two colors (black and brown). The other has only one color, black. I had both of them at one time. Beside the padding the insole is made of a unique material that memorize the contours of your foot. I guess they are expensive because they are one of the last shoe business that remained in U.S. Nidal
