Never ending growing kefir?

Good morning,

I have read that kefir grains are growing ..... some part of the " main grain "

will detach and have their own lives .... but up to wich size you let the " main

grain " grow ? is there a " size " when you put your grains to rest? do you

" divide " the " main grain " Sorry for the questions .... but you can all tell that

I am a newbie !
