Guest guest
This week my milk kefir is tasting very acidic like vomit. I don't know a better way to describe it. Am I doing something wrong? It hasn't always tasted like this, but it is horrible. The weather here has been weird, 80 degrees one day and 30 the next. I don't know if possibly the temperature changes are affecting the fermentation??? Any thoughts? ? ?
Guest guest
Hi Siobhan, It sounds like your kefir is also off and not merely too sour. So...the next time you strain, rinse the grains with water. Remove some kefir grains from the jar and add your milk. Continue to remove a few grains from the jar every time until the next batch is not so sour, but the way you like it. If it is still " off " , continue to rinse them with water before each batch. If it is only too sour and not " off " , there is no need to rinse. Thanks, Marilyn, who would appreciate it if you would sign your post every time On Wed, Dec 17, 2008 at 6:43 PM, siobhan w <romans_832@...> wrote: > This week my milk kefir is tasting very acidic like vomit.
