First of all thanks to all for assistance. I am not sure what I

started out with for grains but I measured them after my second batch

and I had 6 1/4 Tbs.

Batch 1 & 2 were:

1 cup Organic Apple Juice

2 cups Poland Maine Spring Water

4 Tbs Florida Sugar Organic non-refined sugar (I believe they call

this sucatant, but doesn't say that anywhere on the label?)

1 1/2 " inches of very ripe bannana, what I mean is that they covered

about 1 1/2 " of the bottom of a 2 qt mason jar.

Kefir Grains (not sure but I would guess some where aroun 5 tbs?)

Batch 3 & 4 & 5 were:

3 cups Poland Maine Spring Water

4 Tbs Florida Sugar Organic non-refined sugar

1/2 organice lemon

1 dried organic fig

Kefir Grains (I measured the grains before making batch #3 and I had 6

1/4 Tbs of grains)

Batch 6 is going to be made tonight. I measured my grains and I am now

up to 8 Tbs grains or 1/2 cup.

Batch 6 Recipe will be:

1 Qt Poland Maine Spring Water

4 Tbs Florida Sugar Organic non-refined sugar

2 Organic dried figs.

I couldn't quite take the leap and try pure Maine Maple Syrup. I guess

I need more grains to experiment with. I cant' wait to try though,

probably would be wicked good!

Questions:

How many grains do I wait to have before I split them up and experiment?

Also, is this a good growth, slow, fast ,medium, just trying to gauge

what to expect?

Thanks
