Guest guest
: You're definitely right that the drs. have to have a wealth of knowledge about CMT to be of any success. The dr I had for my fusion claimed that he had several patients with CMT. Now I wonder about that. I live in the Little Rock area of Arkansas, which is where most people in the state come for extensive medical care. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find very many doctors who have even heard of CMT and if they have, they know just enough to be afraid to treat me. I think they are worried about the liability it puts them in if things don't go well. So anyway, I am going to St. Louis which is my hometown and try the doctors that some of my relatives are using. There has actually been members of my extended family that have participated in a CMT study at Washington University Hospital in St. Louis under a Dr. Kwan. That is encouraging, maybe I will get lucky and come out of this dilemna better than before. As I told Gretchen, thank you so very much for your concern and support. That is something so precious to me. Nowhere else do I feel the level of understanding that I do amongst my CMT friends. I don't remember how I handled all of this before I found .
