Hi,

If the bowl of this strainer is of metal, I would have thought that

the metal ions would damage the cultures just like a metal spoon would...? We

often use the plastic spoons sold by the supers for eating chinese

goosberries/Kiwi fruit, out here in Oz. I do have a larger plastic spoon but

its huge, so I only use it when forced to, by a dearth of kiwi spoons.
