dress shoes and AFOs

I was wondering if anyone had any luck finding dressier shoes that work with

AFOs. When I dress up for events, it looks strange to wear a long pretty dress,

and then be wearing my black tennis shoes because that's the dressiest shoes I

can find. I thought something like knee high boots might work, but they all seem

to be tight and high heeled. I'd need something with no heel, that wasn't

clunky, and that was relatively light. If it could totally cover my AFOs (knee

high), it would be nice, but even something that only went up to my ankle or

slightly past would work. The shoes also have to be tight on my foot - they

can't slide off. Are there any shoes out there that meet those requirements?

I know I'll never be able to wear the dress shoes they sell for women in stores,

but there has to be something out there that's a little dressier than hiking

boots or tennis shoes. What do you wear when you have to dress up?

I will probably be getting married in the next couple of years, and it would be

nice if I could find dressier shoes so I'm not walking down the aisle in tennis

shoes. ;) But, if that has to be done, then it's what I'll do. Maybe I'll tell

everyone they have to wear tennis shoes. *lol*
