Guest guest
This link will give you some foot surgery information. http://www.cmtworld.org/epublisher/publish/article_90.php When I was about 10 or so, I had the tendon surgery on both feet during one summer. This was recommended by an orthopedists, since back then there weren't neurologists as we know them today; and my problems were mechanical in nature. I am 51 now and that is the only foot surgery I have needed for CMT problems. Sure made the quality of my life better. But the burning feet I have had since I was 7 - off and on - that is something surgery can't correct (it is a nerve thing) but ice, Biofreeze, wearing orthotics, and changing my shoes offers relief. As for cold feet, perhaps SmartWool socks or Ugg foot wear would be a solution? I love my Uggs, they are just so comfortable to wear and soft. They can warm feet and they also cool my feet. Back to foot surgery, ask orthopedists who specialize in feet and ankles for opinions. ~ Gretchen
