After removing the callouses use Crisco shortening. It works wonders, the

therapist at MDA told me to use it, its cheap, no smell and does work.

The Dremel is a great mult-purpose tool. We use it to file our dog's

nails instead of clipping them, so I can't imagine it wouldn't work for

calluses! K.

I have found that the absolute best way to remove callouses is to take a walk

barefooted on a concrete surface... dragging your feet as you walk. You can

control where the pressure is concentrated at by the way you pressurize your

foot against the cement. It is also a great method of curing those itches that

just dont quit, lol

Hope this helps,

Hi Rob:

I get a pedicure and paraffin treatment about every 6 weeks. This treatment

not only gets your toe nails trimmed, but also removes all the calluses on

your feet, and moisturizes your feet.

In my case I also have the technician check for any cracked skin on my feet,

especially the creases of my toes. For the most part our feet and toes are

numb.and we must avoid getting any " ulcers " , as they could go undetected for

some time.

This works for me...Usually, I don't have to physically take care of my

feet...this works for me. It is worth every penny I pay.

Thanks for the ideas, my 14 son is dealing with the same foot problems. He is

also dealing with the fact that he may need surgery on both feet very soon,

however, we cannot seem to find any information from people that have CMT and

had to have foot surgery done. Any suggestions?

Thanks sooo much
