This is a good group & I know you will hear from many CMTers.

I have CMT & have had it for 70 yrs. My mother had it as well as a brother. Lots

of uncles, aunts & cousins are affected.

I had very high arches & surgery helped that. Also, I've had some tendon

transplants in the hands--thumbs -- it has helped marginally.

No one in the family has had any pain (lucky, I guess) with our CMT. It is

said to be the X type, which somewhat determines who is at most risk.
