I've been given kefir grains 2 cup of raw milk per day and change it every 24 hour. On day one, after feeding kefir for 24 hours, it looked watery and taste tangy/sour. I dank about 3 table spoons and let it go on its 2nd fermentation. 20 minutes later I've upset stomach. Tonight is day two, I've stirred the kefir grains couple times during the day. It looked thicker then day one, but still doesn't look like cottage cheese when I changed it but it does taste less sour. However, I'm having a mild upset stomach and feel/look really tired after I took about less then 1-2 teaspoon of kefir (just from tasting it when change the grains). I'm sure that the kefir is not contaminated. I've keep it very clean and it looks fine and smell good. Most of the morning I eat yogurt for breakfast and sometimes I drink some store bought good quality kefir (redwood hill farm) and never have upset stomach. I'm not sure if this is " die-off " effect from my recurrent yeast infection problem?? Can anyone point me some direction? I'll try again tomorrow.
