Guest guest
Hello ALL, I'd just like to introduce myself and tell the reason why I'd like to participate on this forum. I am a nurse, 50 years old and qualified in France in 1995. If I've started nursing in 1992, the main reason was my interest in HIV- patients and ever since I worked a lot -and still do- on infectious disease wards (where AIDS is treated in France) and also with drug addicts and prostitutes. Concerning India I travel to the country since 1979. In 1996 I went to Calcutta and worked as a head-nurse in a street clinic for Calcutta Rescue (NGO created by Dr Jack Preger). Ever since I also did a Tropical Medicine Course in Paris. I'm planning to go back to India in January 2005 and I am looking for local NGOs working with HIV-patients or AIDS-prevention who are interested to have me as a nurse working with them for a while. I can work on a voluntary basis, at the same time getting a local salary could help to stay longer. I unfortunately do not speak any Indian languages, but my English is full. I'd be pleased to get help and information to find a place in an Indian NGO and be able to get involved directly in Aids-Work in India. Thanks to you and all, Mokka e-MAIL: <lomokka@...>
