Guest guest
Oops, Marilyn, I'm leaving my kefir grains in for 3 or 4 days until there is full separation. Then I drain the product and make cheese (quark) for Budwig. My grains are flourishing, so I suppose it is OK. By the way, what exactly are KEFIR grains? Thanks. Eventually they will stop growing and start to go backwards. What a lot of people do if they need it so sour is still strain on time but leave the strained kefir out until it is ripe. > > > By the way, what exactly are KEFIR grains? Guest guest
Strain your kefir and taste it. Adjust the milk up a little if it is too sour. When there is no more room for extra milk in the jar, remove some kefir grains. Give them a fresh change of milk every day. That's all you really need to know.
