Guest guest Posted June 6, 2008 Report Share Posted June 6, 2008 I'm not getting much help on another forum. They are all getting WAY OT. The grains look GREAT, nice and big and when I rinse them well they don't smell but the water does. The grains do float so they are still growing. It just smells awful. There does seem to be some debris and the " brew " is cloudy. I keep giving them fresh sugar water every other day. Sometimes i will add a pinch of sucunat or molasses, or sea salt. Not all at the same time. Anyone have any ideas? Obviously the yeasts are out of wack but how do I fix this? I do brew kombucha as well, could there have been some cross contamination?
