Guest guest
I was told about the benefits of kefir at least six months ago by one of my sons therapists. My youngest has lots of intestinal issues among other things and she recommended that we try some kefir to see if it helps. Well six months of yougurt and acidiphilous supplements (couldn't find kefir) later here I am. He did have some improvement initially but has had diarrhea for weeks now so I would really like to try homemade kefir. If anyone is in the southern New Jersey area I would love to get/purchase some milk grains to start with. I have some questions about what type of milk to use. We use powdered milk for drinking and cooking and I am wondering if that would even work? If the powdered reconstitued milk won't work can regular store bought milk be used or does it have to be unpastuerized/raw? Thanks for the help, I am sure you get these questions all the time.
