Guest guest
I wonder if this even has anything to do with CMT? This family may have another under lying condition .. Just my thoughts. jenny
Guest guest
Gretchen,, This is very interesting to me. In Jan. I was discovered to have white lesions in the brain, possibly due to CMT. Now, another interesting point is that I was originally diagnosed as Type I, but have since been rediagnosed as Type 2, rare form, unknown. Also interesting to me is that I am Italian, of Italian parents. It appears that my mother had a form of CMT which was never diagnosed. P. Guest guest
Hi, I found this to be interesting. I had a MRI, 3 years ago, due to syncope episodes. They are saying the syncope is from an autonomic dysfunction due to the CMT. But they found white lessions on my brain. My son who just turned 20 had a MRI when he was almost 3 years old after a spinal tap and he also has lessions. My brother who had never been tested for CMT had lessions, my mom said his MRIs showed them. He had MRI due to a brain tumor but the lessions where in different area of brain from what my mom explains. He died in 1992. My 16 yr. daughter had MRI in december 2003 for syncope, they say it is due to her migraines. I don't know if she has lessions. We have no Italian in us at all. Just wondering if they will due any studies like this somewhere else.
