If you have one clump of grains you could do it that way. BUT - I've found

that you get MUCH better, sweeter, thicker kefir if you pull the grains

apart into very small pieces. Then you will need to strain them.

I'm asking: why strain the kefir? Is it important? I pull out the clump

of grains and dump the rest (along with a banana) into the blinder and

there you have it! Please inform me. Thanks.

I strain mine mine because it's easier for me to get the grains that way,

and to sort of homogenize the kefir because I don't blend mine in a blender.

Your system appears to be working for you so if it was me I'd say " if it

ain't broke don't fix it. " lol :)
