Guest guest Posted June 28, 2004 Report Share Posted June 28, 2004 New NE harm reduction centre The Imphal Free Press IMPHAL, Jun 26: The North East India Regional Centre for Harm Reduction (NEIRCHR) was launched today, the 26th June 2004 at 12.30 p.m. at the office premises of the SASO/FHI project office at Chekon. Umesh Sharma, technical adviser on harm reduction (International HIV/AIDS Alliance) the chief guest of the function formally announced the launching of the centre. The centre is a joint collaborative effort of the Kripa Society, Social Awareness Service Organisation (SASO),the North East India Harm Reduction Network (NEIHRN), Burnet Institute-Melbourne, Australia, Centre for Harm Reduction (CHR)-Chiang Mai and CHR- Chennai.
