Check out this advice from Dr.Weil! I love this guy. K.

Today's Tip: Ask Your Doctor

Most doctors are working under factory-like conditions these days, and

it's often difficult to get all your health concerns addressed in the

short time available. Be an assertive patient. I can't stress enough the

importance of being able to talk to your doctor openly. If for some

reason you don't feel comfortable, or if you don't share the same

philosophies for managing your health, much of your time together will

be wasted, and you may want to look for a new doctor. To open the

dialogue for better care, ask about your doctor's medical training,

hospital and research hospital affiliations, office services and the

number of years he or she has been in practice, as well as how they view

their role in your care. It will be time well spent.

I have had the DNA test a long time ago and it said I had type 1 but the

neurologist I saw at the time did not do the testing she just said my

doctor that I had arthritis. At the moment my arthritis is supposedly mild

to moderate so it is not causing the pain. I just hope that the

neurologist I will see in June is more informed.
