.. I can remember my mother having red palms and also my grandmother, but

they did not have any other signs of CMT. Occasionally I get pains in my

fingers. I am still able to function normally, what ever normal is. :) I thought

I

was the only one with red palms ! Thanks Barb.

Yes, the palms of my hands are reddish and tingle most of the time. The

neurologist I saw at the Univ.of Wis. in Madison pointed out the redness on my

palms and asked if they tingled, and that was the first time I realized that

they did! He said I have the CMT in my hands too.

The redness indicates inflammation. My feet are also very red when I take off

shoes and sox. My hands don't really bother me except when I drive for a long

time, as I did recently on a solo weekend trip, 6 hours each way. The extra

tingling and soreness then lingered for several days.

I have been reading where a few of you all has stated that the palm of

your hands are red. Mine are too, but also my fingertips, & the bottoms of both

of my feet. I have been diagnosed with Diabetes, Neuropathy & RSD, so now

i',m just confused with the RSD, not knowing a thing about it, anyway, I would

just like some relief from the pain & depression! By the way, I burn really bad

&

what started out like a tingle, now has become more like a deep electric

shock, the kind of hurt that you don't easily forget. Please take care of

yourselves and don't let it get as bad as mine.

Thanks for listening to me,

Barb from Indiana.......
