Guest guest
I was wondering how many other cmters have trouble standing for the pledge of allegiance. Today I had to go to 3 diffrent graduations. I stood for the first pledge and sat for the last 2. If I am in the back of a room I don't mind sitting but today I was in the front row. I do put my hand over my heart but people in back of me can' t see that. Has anyone had this problem?
Guest guest
, Yes I do have the balance problem also. Every week in church it is a problem unless I sit in a row with chairs in front of me. Therefore, I can just haul myself up and hold onto the chair in front of me. I do use a cane but even that is a problem if I have my eyes closed. My husband has strick orders to save me a seat at least in the second row as I play in the church orchestra and have to join him after the initial singing. (LOL and a dear friend who is in a wheelchair prays every Sunday that I do not splatter down the steps on my way to my chair. - so far it has worked. LOL) Candy
Guest guest
No, no problem here with standing for the pledge, or the anthem at games and such. ~ G
Guest guest
I try to support myself by holding on to my wife or the chair/pew/etc. in front of me and pledge with the other. If I am unlucky enough to be on a front row, and my wife isn't standing next to me, I try to either move back until I feel my leg braces contact something solid behind me or use my quad cane. If neither of those alternatives is available, I remain seated.
