" le, I was misdiagnosed for 7 years. Thought I had CMT. Doctors at Mayo Clinic finally made a diagnosis 2 years ago. After all other tests came up as inconclusive; a muscle and nerve biopsy resulted in a diagnosis of " Distal Predominant Motor Neuronopathy " . These biopsies were a last resort, but needed to be done to learn what I actually do have and to determine my prognosis. There's no cure for DPMN either, but there may be someday, and that's why I think an accurate diagnosis is important. Keep searching for your answers. K.
