:

Just a note that I have four children--yes, I stumbled and fell when

pregnant but it didn't harm the kids--just me! Sprained ankles-and hurt

pride! Babies are pretty tuff.

,

Thank you for the info.! I honestly think my Mom has me more paranoid than need

be. =) Did you have any other problems/complications during your pregnancy (or

even delivery) from CMT?

Hello,

I have had four children and have CMT type 1a. I actually have felt

better as far as symptoms go with cmt when I am pregnant. Yes I fell with my

last

four pregnancies this was due impart to dislocating knee caps and the extra

weight put on by the pregnancy. My two older children have cmt and my last two

do

not. I am expecting my fifth child in December and feel great other than the

normal tiredness. I also found that the prenatal vitamins were too much for me

to handle so my doctor said to take Flintstone vitamins for children one in

the morning and one at night and I have had no morning sickness at all. Just

to let you know all pregnancies are different and I do not think cmt

complicates it only the factor of extra weight.

Thanks,

Heidi in NH

Hi Heidi, It is helpful to read input from members when they were or are

pregnant. My youngest daughter 24 is expecting her first in December and me her

Mom gets a little worried when she has problems with her balance. She is the

one that was diagnosed at age 16 having CMT. She is so exicted about pregnancy,

please tell me more. Thank you.
