Guest guest Posted March 22, 2004 Report Share Posted March 22, 2004 Co-ordinator: Prevention (Ref: PTS/219)GBP £41,000 - £44,000 (USD $75,000 - $80,700)* Based: Brighton, UK (with travel) The Co-ordinator Prevention will lead a team of professionals to provide technical support to the Alliance programme staff in Brighton, Alliance country offices and partner organisations in the prevention of HIV/AIDS and tackling the related issues of discrimination, stigma and human rights. Key Requirements * Relevant post graduate qualification (e.g. Masters in Public Health) * Experience of managing professional staff. * Extensive experience in HIV/AIDS and/or related fields * Experience in some or all of the following areas; field based community work in developing countries, sexual health, design and implementation of effective prevention programmes. * Knowledge of approaches to HIV/AIDS prevention and the epidemiological and other evidence underpinning them. * Proven skills in strategic planning. The post-holder must possess strong management skills and leadership ability, and have strategic vision, experience of capacity building and excellent writing and communication skills.
