Dear FORUM,

e FORUM would like to invite Indian NGOs to send their experince in

submitting application to the Global Fund through Indian Country Corodination

Mechanism (CCM)

As you may know, the Global Fund was established more than two years ago to

mobilize and distribute funds to address three of the world's most deadly

iseases, AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. The Global Fund has recently launched

its Partnership Forum to ensure that civil society stakeholders are openly and

genuinely involved. This is an opportunity to offer your input into how well

the Global Fund is doing and offer your guidance on how it can do it better.

Between March to July 2004, an online moderated discussion forum is available to

share your views and comments on the Fund's progress and activities in your

countries and communities. Your voice and opinions are crucial to making the

most of what the Fund can and will achieve in the future. Learn more about the

online Partnership Forum log on to http://www.theglobalfund.org/en/about/forum/

e FORUM would like to encourage the readers of this forum to

contribute to this discussion.

We would like to hear from you on any aspects of Indian AIDS NGOs experience in

accessing the Global Fund. For instance;

1) Are you aware that your agency is eligible to apply to Global fund through

CCM/NACO?

2) have you/your agency applied to Global Fund? If no, was there any specific

reason for not doing so?

3) What technical assistance you might need to develop your proposal next round?

4) Do you have any suggestions to make Global Fund application process more

transparent and accessible?

The summary of feedback from the readers of this FORUM will be presented at the

partnership forum. Anonymous postings are welcome. Please add anonymous on the

subject line.

Please send your messages to AIDS Treatment

Dear Forum members,

I think that this a great idea to share our experiences. Most of us

as NGOds are not aware of the nitty gritties and hence we are lost in

applying for funds.

My NGO is working in Rajasthan. Can I apply through CCM and how.

Can I be enlightened regarding this issue.

Thanks

Kumkum Srivastava
