Guest guest
Well I have been taking vit c for 6 weeks now. Last night my husband stopped watching TV looked down at my calves and couldn't stop remarking about the muscle I am developing. He felt them and said they didn't even feel like my legs anymore. He was amazed. I was so happy. My left leg is catching up with the right. So in 6 weeks I have less pain, much better balance, can move my toes on both feet. I can go up my garage step with out using any hands. My hands are gaining stregnth. My little finger on the right side is straight now. It was curling . My left little finger is still curling a bit. I have a few mile stones that I am looking forward to crossing. Short term is to see my little finger on the left straighten up Long term is to be able to get up from sitting down without using my arms to help get up. (10) is getting so much stronger. She never forgets to take her vitamin C and its really paying off for her. She has new muscle. Her calves are looking a lot like someone without CMT. She said she can run much better. 3 people now have made the comment to me that she walks much better now. Adam (12) ok will we had to start from ground zero with him. His legs were bone and skin. His legs continue to gain muscle. It is a noticible diffrence. He still has a long way to go. Spencer (14) he dosen't say much but so far he said he is able to move his ankle now. He is a few weeks behind the rest of us.
Guest guest
, That is SO great!!!! I was thinking of posting an update today as well. : ) My right leg is definitely catching up with my left. I am walking heel/toe. I have much more balance and strength. I asked my man to examine my calfs since I won't see him for a couple more weeks. I figure that he will be a better judge of the muscle size since he won't see it every day. I have not been able to walk on my toes (basically was letting my feet just fall where they wanted) since a couple surgies I had a few years ago . . . but now I've regained enough muscle to walk across the floor on my toes! I could go on and on telling you all the little things I've noticed but I'd rather just jump (OK, not so good at that yet) up and down for all of us who are experiencing any positive change . . . especially for the kids!!! My main long term goal is to marry my man in " normal " shoes. (No, I don't have an announcement to make at this time. Hee hee) My mom is a few weeks behind but she is doing great too!! Her toes that have been curled for 20 years have released. We can both walk farther than we did before. . . and stairs are getting easier. I also wanted to say how happy I am for those who have other versions of CMT that are experiencing improvement with Vitamin C . . . welcome to the party!!! Peace,
