: Where does one get hold of the " CMT Physicians Handbook " ? That's the

first I've heard of such a book. I surely would appreciate being able to read

that book. Although I have HNPP, we do share many, many common threads.

Not being a female and not wanting to be the first male to give birth (sorry,

Lloyd's of London - you can keep your million dollars), I can't help you with

the pre-pregnancy questions. However, there are great ladies here that

certainly can and I'm sure will. I wish you and your husband all the best on

your journey to become parents.

you can get the book from the CMT association in pennsylvania. I found it

helpful and bought extras to give to my family doctors. Cathleen in Arkansas

- thank you so much for the well wishes! I learned from my GYN that the

verison of the Physician's Handbook that I have, isn't completely reliable

because it's dated 1995. However, I found it helpful as far as describing

symptoms and the different types of CMT. The book is called Physician's Handbook

for CMT. If you call the CMT Association) at 800-606-CMTA, they will send you a

packet. It includes the handbook (updated version I should think). I hope

that helps! I just called the # myself!
