It makes sense to me that one would lose calf muscles because of fused

ankles (no longer doing toe raises, etc.), but I am puzzled by the loss of

thigh muscles. One could still do leg extensions with weights, leg curls,

etc. Have you tried these kinds of exercise? Tom

No I never have Tom. I had the fusions done at seven years old. I don't have

the strength to do any weights. I know in the summer when I walk with my

husband I do gain more thigh muscle. You have brought up some good points. I

hope we both get some answers.

Loss of thigh muscle is a common complaint. I have no idea about weights.
