Guest guest
Hi Janet, My name is and I work with the MD who did the EMG test I had during the beginning stages of my CMT diagnoses. To answer the question you asked, the answer is no. Pain meds have no impact on EMG test results. It is quite the opposite actually. Both pain meds and anti anxiety meds will help some to relax during the test thus allowing a more accurate result. Good luck on the 14th! -
Guest guest
, Thanks for the helpful information you gave me.Did you say that you work for MDA? Do you know quite about MD & CMT? Question, when you start loosing your muscles, is it possible that if you loose the muscle and body fat, around your ribs & diaphram does it cause your bone to protrude out.Recently in the last 4-5 months, it has protruded out enough, that its tender to touch. Also when I press my back against the shower stall it cause lots of pain. As if it is loosing all the muscle tissue aroud the spine. Is that normal? Thanks for your time, Hugs, Janet
