Guest guest
, I can walk on tip toes without bending my knees - always have been able to do this - it's just walking on my heels and raising my toes when I do so that's not too good. Maybe I don't have CMT afterall, lol?
Guest guest
, I too can walk on my tip toes quite well with my knees both straight and bent. I just can't heel walk. I have hypertrophic calves too, so lots of muscle there. My muscle loss is all in the front leg muscles, backs are okay and Achilles tendons are tight. I have type 1B confirmed by DNA testing, and am relatively mildly affected although my EMG/NCV tests look really bad and I don't have any reflexes at all. Many nerves can't be stimulated in my lower legs and feet. I also have major hearing loss problems....90% left ear, and 60% right ear. I come from a long line of CMTer's in my family, all have this hearing loss as well, most are eventually deaf. Tina
