Hi this is Barbara C again. I am having real problems with my doctor . she

is not convinced that I ave CMT. Because a neurologist about 20 years ago

when i first had that blood test that i had CMT 1 did no test properly and

just said i had arthritis. Therefore she did not test me . Up to five years

ago I did not say very much but just tolerated the sore feet and legs etc

and just went regular to chiropractor and acupuncturist . but over the last

5 years thighs have gotten slowly worse. but i still did not complain

until the last year or so. Now I have severe pain in the feet and lower legs

and the muscles are gone both in my calf and thigh. i am also having severe

pain in the right hip and lower back. I started to take neuroton

(Garbapenten) sorry about the spelling

.. and that has helped with the foot and calf problem a little. I have had

exray and scan for the hip and lower back but the results have not returned.

but my Doctor is not convinced and is waiting for the scan before she does

anything more or at all . I really think she doubts what i am telling her.

I will also be seeing a neurologist in June finally. I am really getting

angry with my doctor as she will not inform herself about the disease

and now i may have another one in my hip called Paget's disease . Has anyone

else had this problem???
