Dear Forum

This mail is not about giving you all some new information related to AIDS but

an experience which i wanted to share when i went to see the movie " Phir

Milenge " .

It was a well directed flim and i appreciate the acting done by all the three

characters.

It was this sunday when i went to see the movie to one of the finest multiplexes

of Jaipur. when I went to the cinema I realized that movie has been removed from

that particular cinema on that particular day because the crowd for DHOOM was

more apparently it showed that the cinema owners want to earn more.

I could see long ques of young people like me for the movie DHOOM. Most of them

were adolescents. Well i went all the way to other side of the city to watch

this movie in a very lousy cinema (WHY? BECAUSE, I AM WORKING ON HIV/AIDS ISSUES

AND I AM PASSONATE ABOUT IT) with most of the crowds were of rickshaw pullers

and autowalas-thinking Salman would do something like Tere NAAM ???!!!???.

There was the scene when shilpa shetty was informed that she has been sacked,

but what i could hear from the crowd was the sound of clapping that the

audience accpeted it. As i came out with my friend one of the young boys asked

her- Madam is the movie is worth watching. She said -For young people like you

it is a must see. And they moved inside the cinema hall.

Now what i want to share to the forum out of all this experience was 1) the

insensitivity of young people to actually going and watching such kind of movie

2) the mindset of the crowd

All i could feel the dearth of ignorance of the people around it because no one

can understand what goes through the mind and heart of an HIV+ person unless we

go through the same pain.

A long way to go for all of us but I surly like to thank Revethy for making an

excellent attempt for making all of us aware that we all have a right to live

with dignity .

Warm Regards
