Guest guest
I don't know how old all of you are and this is my first time in this forum by invitation. I'm 33 years old and have experienced a wide range of different things in my changing physique. One of these experiences has been the dizzy spells that seem quite inherant in the majority of CMTers. I have an added effect involved in that I hear a constant high pitched buzzing sound while in a quiet room and balance problems only in the dark but can control it when I close my eyes and focus in my minds eye where I am in relation to my surroundings...this takes a bit of practice. As far as hand eye coordination goes I have been tested in the 97th percentile for accuracy and agility with hand eye coordination so it would seem perhaps to me that the dizziness and balance problem could very well be related to the way we hear things and the way our inner ear sends signals to the brain. Some may know that the balance of an individual is directly involved with the inner ear as that is where the balance system for the body is located. There are tiny hairs in the ear that detect movement whether we are moving from side to side and a ring of fluid with a little ball of sorts detects whether we are dipping forward or backward. This is the main reason why deep water divers have problems detecting which way is up from the water pressure affecting the workings of this balance system. Divers use their eyes instead of their sense of balance by watching which way the air bubbles are travelling. Same experiences I can relate to. One other thing I was wondering if anyone seems to have experienced visual aura's as they are called. This has happened to me on a semi regular basis and the doctor as near can tell is some sort of migraine. I'm not so sure and prompted him to arrange for a brain scan and of course found nothing. The aura's start as a spot that I can't see through and seems to be filled with distortion like the fuzz on tv when it's disconnected from the cable. This spot will slowly over the period of about an hour spread across my vision like a thread until I can't focus on any one particular thing and then slowly disappears. I have found that eating a few chocolate bars speeds the disappearance of the aura's. If anyone could identify a similar experience I would be curious to know.
