Since it's my mom who can wear the Birk's I can only tell you what we found

with her. It really helped to go into the Birkenstock store if you have one in

your area. They are very helpful and know a lot about the different ways the

different styles can be beneficial. If not I would try calling one (there is

a store on Ventura Blvd. in Van Nuys, Cali.) and they should be able to help

over the phone. That is the store we shop in and they are very helpful.

I was lucky enough to find a sandal with a heel in the Birkenstock store that

fits all the requirements I have AND is cushioned!! They were about $150

though . . . well worth it. I bought two pairs!!

Oh, that's great. I didn't realize you were here. There is a very tall,

thin woman who works in there that takes care of my mother every time we go. My

parents visit every April (be here in a couple of weeks) and we've been going

for years. If you haven't been there yet I will let her know to expect you!
